This series of nearly 150 Polaroid photographs is a catalogue of World Trade Center towers 1 and 2 as portrayed in feature films shot in New York over a 30 year period, as well as a reflection on their evolving significance. By isolating the incidental appearance of these buildings, a literal document has emerged alongside a more abstract meditation on how their presence persists in their absence. I use the narrative qualities of film and the antiquated banality of Polaroid to evoke the passage of time and explore the consequence of memory.
